Discover CAVA in Kenya : who we are and what we do.

Who we are

Communities Action Voluntary Association (CAVA) is a tax-excepted child sponsorship, not-for-profit making humanitarian founded in 2016 and NGO registered under the laws of Kenya in 2021. The organization is focusing on helping disabled children and other vulnerable children from poverty stricken families to go to school and to raise their voices for the right to education. CAVA is working for communities where all children, mainly girls can learn and lead without fear.

Our vision

At CAVA we strive to give our volunteers the big picture about world poverty in development. We encourage solidarity and international service development, but also we promote intercultural exchange that will lead in a better understanding between people from different countries, cultures, religions, or ethnicities.

Our objectives are to contribute to communities development by supporting them in their activities, and to give to people from different backgrounds an opportunity to grow and to learn from each other.

Volunteering with CAVA

We welcome volunteers regardless from their religion, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity or origin. We promote volunteer service as a way to support the local communities and to help youth to get a responsible and supportive behavior.

When you volunteer with us, we ask that you get involved in all aspects of our programs. If you are volunteering at one of our centre this means that you will be involved in the hands on teaching and care giving as well as the administration and general management of the organization. In this way we aim to give you a better understanding about issues concerning modern development education and non-profit organization.
